Experience train travel at its peak in this rail journey through Switzerland. For five days you pass through snow-dusted mountains, dramatic gorges, and stunning lakes (the country has around 7,000 of them), while you get to stay in beautiful lakeside resort towns of Interlaken, Montreux, and Zermatt.

In this trip, you get to take several memorable rail journeys showing off Switzerland’s magnificent landscapes. You’ll take Lucerne-Interlaken Express train, which passes through three small lakes before reaching Lake Brienz. The GoldenPass Express train affords you picturesque mountain views on the way to Montreux, a town known as the ‘Swiss Riviera’ located on the eastern shores of Lake Geneva and surrounded by the Swiss Alps. You also take a regional train to Zermatt, a famous car-free resort at the foot of the Matterhorn mountain. From there, you can go on optional excursions to the Gornergrat for panoramic views or the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise for sporting adventures.

Finally, before the trip ends, you’ll board the Glacier Express, known as one of the greatest train journeys in the world. It passes through what many describe as one of the most breathtaking rail experiences in the world as it slowly takes you through bridges, several tunnels and mountain passes including the Oberalp Pass, the highest point on the line, against a backdrop of unspoilt Alpine meadows, mountain forests and valleys.
