Indulge in a Mediterranean island getaway on this 11-day trip that gives you the best of Sicily and Malta. The two destinations—the dazzling Italian island of Sicily and Southern Europe’s island country of Malta—both provide gorgeous seaside views, diverse landscapes, fascinating history, and cultural treasures worth discovering.
Start off in Sicily, where UNESCO World Heritage Sites in historic Syracuse, Ragusa, Agrigento, and Catania abound. They trace their roots from ancient Greek settlements, the Roman Republic, and the Byzantine Empire so don’t be surprised if you get transported to medieval hilltop towns like Taormina and centuries-old port cities like Palermo. The last three days of the tour take you to Malta, which also packs a lot of history and culture. But beyond ornate churches and splendid palaces, Malta boasts many beaches and you can have a chance to take a dip in its clear blue waters, stop at the famous Blue Lagoon, and visit the serene island of Gozo.
